Service & Repair Solutions

Since 1975, W J Green Ltd have been one of the area’s leading forestry and garden machinery specialists. We have possibly the largest stock of chainsaws, accessories and parts in the region. We have a fully equipped workshop with factory-trained technicians to offer the very highest levels of service for your garden machinery or forestry equipment. We can service or repair most makes of garden machinery and sharpen a wide range of equipment. All our work is all backed up by a large stock of spare parts. We sell both new and used equipment.

Our services include the sharpening of chainsaw chains, circular saw blades, mower blades and hedge cutter blades as well as shear sharpening. Our experienced service technicians with their well-equipped vans can come out to you and do on-site machinery repairs, and we offer a collection and delivery service for all machinery that can’t be serviced or repaired on site. We are able to offer estimates before any work is carried out (if required).

We are a family business with lots of experience to give advice on the best machine for the job.

Fuel problems are the most common symptom experienced with small garden machinery engines. The addition of 10% ethanol to the fuel that is sold at garages has only exacerbated the number of fuel problems that we see in the workshop. All machines that we service have fuel additive in the fuel to help ensure the fuel stays stable and protect against the potential harmful side effects of the ethanol in the fuel.

Please note that we no longer offer service for many of the brands sold by the major superstores, as these are generally not worth being repaired, and often parts are difficult to obtain. Please contact us to check if we can provide a service for your machine before bringing it over if you are unsure.

We also have a fully trained LOLER specialist who can carry out the required inspections of climbing and forestry equipment to meet with Health & Safety requirements. Contact Neil Turner for further information on the LOLER inspection service.

We have specialised machinery to sharpen all mowers, chainsaws, hedge cutters and shears. We also have full diagnostic equipment for the latest machinery technology, including the robotic mowers that we sell, auto tune chainsaws and the Husqvarna Automower® and AutoTune systems.
